Salary negotiation is flexible and complex.

The salary range of a governess will depend on:

experience

education

qualification

hours

duties

Currently the hourly rate for childcare services fluctuates between R40-00 and 100-00 (per hour), depending on the above-mentioned factors.

Should a candidate use her/his own car for the family's benefit, she/he would be compensated between
R1-80 and R3-00 per km.

A full-time governess, working approximately 9 hours per day, earns a monthly salary ranging from R 6,500.00 to R 12,000.00 + per month.

On a Mornings-only or Afternoons -only basis, the governess may earn approximately R 3,500.00 -
R 7,000 per month.

Governess Connection will always ensure that market-related salaries are paid and fair remuneration is received.

Once-Off Registration Fee
A once-off registration fee of R300-00 incl. VAT entitles the discerning parent to a lifetime Governess Connection membership. Currently the hourly rate for childcare services fluctuates between R40-00 and 100-00 (per hour), depending on the above-mentioned factors.

Agency Fees
The agency fee is dependent on the type of placement:

A permanent placements fee of 12% (excl. VAT) of the governess's total annual remuneration, payable on delivery of invoice	For a placement deemed to be "temporary" with a beginning and ending date for seven days / nights or longer, our fee is 30% of the negotiated rate paid to the governess. This type of placemen requires payment in advance of the placement start date.
We are also able to provide Temporary staff (one to six days) for a few hours per day, or on a daily or overnight basis (Temporary Live-in) for one to six days / nights. The current minimum daytime rate is R68.40/hour (R60+VAT), or R319.20 (R300+VAT) per night. (Daytime hours depend on the duties, number of hours required, etc.) This rate must be paid directly to the agency. The agency will then pay the governess on completion of the assignment.
